Thanks! **************************************************************** System Requirements: -------------------- - 1GHz processor, 128Mb RAM, 12Mb Disk Space, Half-decent graphics card, sound card (optional) - Windows 98/ME/2000/XP - (Untested on Windows 95/NT4) Note: If your machine is suitable your frame rate (FPS) should rarely drop below 60 FPS. Note: If you don't have a sound card, you must set MUSIC and SOUND to 0 in IronFist.ini. Video Mode: ----------- This game runs in 800x600 in 32-bit colour. If your video card cannot handle this, then try changing 16BIT GRAPHICS to 1 in IronFist.ini. If your frame rate is ever erratic, try changing FLIP FALSE to 1 in IronFist.ini. Objective: ---------- - Get to the end of the level before the time runs out! - Read the scrolls. - Kill enemies and destroy crates. - Pick up coins, gems and pows. - Try to kill all the enemies and crates and pick up all treasure to obtain a "Perfect" ranking. - Have fun :-) Keys: ----- Move = Left\Right arrow keys Jump = Up arrow key Crouch = down arrow key (you move slower when crouched) Punch = Left or Right Shift key Kick = Left or Right Ctrl key Exit = Escape key Warning: If you press shift 5 times in a row Windows may try to turn on a dumb feature called "sticky keys". A dialog may appear asking what you want to do; to disable this feature click Settings, then untick "Use StickyKeys", then click Settings and untick "Use Shortcut", and click OK and OK again. In Game Special Keys: --------------------- P = Pause Q = quit to Game Over screen M = toggle music on/off V = violence mode (enemy hits all the time) W = toggle VWait on/off. Off gives maximum framerate. but only if Flip False = 1 in IronFist.ini Moves: ------ Try crouching and attacking. Try jumping and attacking Try crouching whilst jumping. Try crouching and attacking whilst jumping! Punches are quicker than kicks but do less damage. Standing moves are quicker than crouching moves and do more damage. *** Try punching the corpses for extra points Note: you cannot move whilst attacking (unless jumping) Note: your hits stun the enemy for a split second and they can stun you too. Pows: ----- - There are loads of different pows. - Some pows regenerate if they are crucial to completing a level. - Some pows have an instant effect such as health and score. - Some pows have a duration effect such as turbo and speed. - Watch out for bad pows! - Look out for Mega Pow (speed/jump/turbo) - Look out for Fight Pow (full health/armour/damage) - Note that Armour and Rust pows do not yet work. *** Try holding the attack button down when you get a turbo pow. Time Limit: ----------- - There is a time limit. You loose a life if it runs out. - *** You can add 20 seconds to your time by making a kill. - You will get a time score bonus based on the remaining time after each kill. High Scores: ------------ - Wait approx. 6 seconds on the title screen to see high scores. - Try to score over 1000 to get into the high scores.
